"Window-weather;” a weather best enjoyed behind the window.
The word gluggavedur originates from the combination of the words glugga (window) and vedur (weather) which quite literally translates to the term window-weather.
Each style of beer is given their own graphic and logo that correlates directly to the beer name, derived from various types of weather in Iceland. Gluggavedur’s design sticks to black and white, so the consumer focuses on the taste of the beer first and foremost. The design isn't much different in terms of complexity. Gluggavedur opts for a more subtle approach, only changing a few elements between each beer.
The bottle caps are hand painted and then etched away using a laser printer to reveal the logo in the caps raw metal material.
